​​Enjoy the fall colors and take in local theatre with Morton Arboretum Walking Plays


Walk along with the action of your favorite literary tales performed live among 1,700 acres of trees and beautiful landscapes. All Walking Plays are approximately 90 minutes in length and will not exceed two miles in hiking distance. The Morton Arboretum will feature an American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation performance on October 16 and October 24. There are also several Low Impact Hikes available for guests with lower mobility as well.


Note: The October 22 Walking Play performance was cancelled due to the weather. Ticket holders for that evening have been emailed with rebooking instructions.

The Legacy of Sherwood Forest

There is a disturbance in the forest! Descendants of Robin Hood and his merry band join forces in a swashbuckling, madcap journey. Audiences will witness mayhem, comedy, epic duels, and a new interpretation of the classic tale of bravery, community, and justice.

Performances start at 4:00 p.m. and last approximately ninety minutes.
